I agree with your statement and persuasion in my blog. In my country (Indonesia) there is a law about using helmet, vis called Undang-Undang No 14 Tahun 1992 (the Law Number 14/1992). But 16 years is not enough to make people aware about head-killing.
Traffic data describe that 8 from 10 motorcycle’s accidents in Indonesia causes death fatalities because they don’t wear helmet.
Transportation Department is always declare a helmet campaign every year, indeed has a vision that we must have “to zero accident” slogan.
But, unhappily, we don’t have a regulation about standard of helmet usage. What kind of helmet? What type of helmet? What kind of material for producing helmet? So, we can say here that standard helmet equals expensive helmet. This parameter is very important thing, so the government must make a standardization of helmet. The helmets must be produced with strict quality control, and government must subsidize it for people.

You forgot to say that the overlayed protection on the shoulders and elbows was BALISTIC Nylon with its excellent abrassion resistance.

I am inbetween these and Alpine Stars and one or two others, could you give me your unbiased opinion of which are best, I ride a new R1 for work and pleasure (no track days yet as working in Germany its too much hassle)
I can get a pair brand new on ebay for £39.99 which seems very cheap for a high spec glove.
Any advice would be greatfully appreciated.

Thanks for the message.

The GP Pilots are extremely comfortable and very hard wearing. Verntilation is also excellent. I have a few pairs of summer gloves including AStars. My AStars are practically brand new as I never wear them due to wearing the RST gloves.

The RST glove also has a lot of tech in it which you wouldn’t find in lower priced AStars or equivalent like kevlar stitching, kangaroo leather palm and carbon fibre knuckles/protection.

I wouldn’t think twice about getting another pair.

Just thoughtg id say.. after reading your blog for a while now.. eventually went and bought a bandit gsf650… as it was a bit bigger.. today im so proud.. ive joined the beowulf club… check out my vids of the new add on!!

Let me guess, you bought the helmet in a large and it look fookin massive! I bought the large as i couldnt get my nog in the medium, and it makes me look like a toffee apple haha. Other than the enlarged cranium effect though I can honestly say it is a fantastic helmet, apart from the aforementioned neck roll issues, took it back the day i bought it as the seams had split already.

Love the blogs gordon keep up the good work!!!
